Decomposition systems IKA AOD 1 et al.
The decomposition system is a system for oxidative decomposition of solid and liquid organic samples under pressure in a closed system. The absorbent solution is placed in a decomposition vessel in which halogens (fluorine, chlorine, bromine and iodine), as well as sulfates, are collected. Accurate quantitative analysis of sulfur and halogens can be performed using ion chromatography, ion-selective electrodes, photometry or titration. The vessels are made of high-alloy stainless steel, which is highly resistant to chlorine.
